"Amazing Canon Rebel XSi commercial that I saw on TV the other day. I heard that they shot over 70,000 photos to make this spot."

Here is a video on High Speed Test By Oton Bačar. The after effects are edited with a video editor software Twixtor. This video is worth to be shared and viewed. All credits go to Oton Bačar. :) Comic Fiesta 2011, the long-awaited event. Last week, it was held on 17th and 18th of December. It was forecast that it'll be triple the number of participants compared to last year... But no, it was a lot more. Thanks to all for the wishes & presents from my close ones ^^
So everybody has been babbling about today's date: 11.11.11. So what's exactly so special about it?
No, there's no BIG event on this day. Obviously, as shown, there are six 1 on today's date. People like unique numbers. (i.e. 888888, 111111, or whatever sequence that may attract your attention.) In fact, it's also a once-in-a-century date. Another fact is that, in Malaysia, only 111 couples are registered on this date. Lucky couples aren't they? So what did you do on 11.11.11 at 11.11am/pm? All I did was:- 11.11am: sitting in the classroom (almost to dozed off.) 1.11pm: having lunch. 11.11pm: surfing the net. Nothing much insignificant and boring, agree? But then again, you were much more the same or no better than me. Whatever it is, it's just an ordinary day, so why does the 11.11.11 makes us think that it's a special day and there much be a special occasion/celebration to do? Can't we make every day a special day and organize special occasions/celebration now and then? How interesting it is, human's mind. Well, it isn't my purpose to write this blog all about 11.11.11. I would also like to happily (& proudly?) announce that on this day, 11.11.11, I've started to learn to play the piano! No, I don't attend any classes YET, currently, I'm just learning via online, self study and self practice. Hey, did you just murmured that I'm too old for it? What I believe is that, when it comes to music, age does not matter. To be frank, I would also love to learn to play the violin too. But I thought I should start with the piano first (since I've got a piano at home). Right after, it's conducting. Did it sound weird or you just felt like rolling on the floor and laugh? Well, perhaps conducting may not be popular among Malaysians (especially girls!) but then again, so is classical music. You may have heard of this, but if not, listen (or read, in this case). There was a Malaysian pianist who graduated in Frankfurt and she came back to Malaysia. Frankfurt is in Germany, mind you. In Germany, EVERYBODY listens to classical music. They love symphony orchestra. But when you're in Malaysia, when you ask a friend to join you to listen to "that sort of thing" (Malaysian style of talking/describing), the common reply was always "Nah, I might fall asleep." Does this sound usual, weird or funny to you? Depending on your answer, I might know where you're from. Oh well, I don't really care about all those yet. Playing musical instruments is just one of my interests (AND my interest is WIDE!) I might get bored with it soon, before turning into a pro. So was that statement - an optimist or a pessimist type? I sort of now know that being involved in musical instruments, I have to give more time to it - study, practice , practice and practice. Lots of commitment and not to be taken lightly of if it's to be one's career. It's a hard life. One silly mistake may ruin your career, or so I've heard. Well, for now, I'll just take it as a hobby. Playing once in a while and to try to improve as much as possible with the free time I have. If I do change my mind, maybe that's THE ONE. But there's always THE ONE in the short-run. In the long-run, there's a tiny winy percentage that THE ONE actually exists. Geez, I guess I've lost you, my dear reader. You looked confused. Or did you understand what I'm talking about? I know I've posted too long. But bear in mind it's 11.11.11 after all! (Illogical and unreasoning, I know) Fear not, this post is coming to an end. Have a good day and go have some fun! Cheers, Cheryl. Alas, the long awaited event is finally over. Canon PhotoMarathon Malaysia 2011 which was held in Pavilion, Kuala Lumpur on 15th October 2011 (Sat). The place was packed with red shirts with CANON's trademark imprinted on them. It was an awesome fun-filled event where participants face the challenges that lays upon them.
A whole day event organized by the Canon company to raise charity for the Breast Cancer Malaysia to raise awareness to the public. Participants were to shoot based on the themes given and submit the photos after the event. Three themes were given and each theme, participants were given 3 hours to complete the task. During the 2011 event, the 3 themes given were:- 1) The Earth Guardian 2) The City of Colors 3) The Extraordinary of Ordinary Results will be out a week later. Exhibition will also be held on 19th to 22nd October at Pavilion. Cheers, Cheryl. |
